Dubai to get Sunny

Model Sunny Gill will be walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis at the IIFA Awards.

You can't miss Sunny Gill in the recent Brylcream ad with cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The 25-year-old model, who was born and raised in Vancouver, has now been selected for the Vikram Phadnis and Manish Malhotra fashion event to be held at the upcoming IIFA Awards in Dubai.

"I am excited as it is a great opportunity to showcase my talent," says Sunny, who has been modelling for the last six months and has already featured in music videos for Jagjit Singh and Sophie Choudry. He has earlier also walked the ramp for top-notch designers like Abu-Sandeep, Rohit Bal and Suneet Verma.

So, what would he have been if not a model? Says Sunny, "If not a model, I would have been an athlete. I love football, rugby and swimming." Coming back to his IIFA performance, is Bollywood going to be his next step? "I love to perform and I am very passionate about acting. It gives me a high. So, in a way, yes." Is he ready to make the big leap? "Right now, I'm still growing as a model – I'm in no hurry," he smiles.
